The Town of Brunswick, on behalf of the Maine Department of Transportation, is currently managing the design and construction of the Cedar Street Park and Ride and will be holding two separate Public Meetings related to this project.
The first meeting will be held on November 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Town Hall, Room 206. The primary focus of this meeting will be to allow abutting property owners an opportunity to review the project and ask questions of the design team. The second Public Meeting will be held December 12, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Town Hall in Council Chambers. This meeting will be the formal Public Hearing for the project.
Phase 1 of the project is expected to begin in the summer of 2020 and is anticipated to be completed in a single construction season. The scope of the project is to include grading the existing gravel parking lot, paving the lot, minor drainage improvements, lighting, and a sidewalk connection to the existing sidewalk on Cedar Street
The Town currently plans to repave Cedar Street during the 2021 construction season. Please note that the paving of Cedar Street will be subject to funding availability in the Town's Capital Improvement Program.
